The Zihuatanejo Pier

The Zihuatanejo Pier, almost an indispensable place to visit and make use of by visiting locals or fishermen, domestic and foreign tourists, has had as many stages, dimensions as materials in a little less than a century.

This was with the first pier in 1930, a simple relatively small wooden pier 30 meters long by 2 meters wide, which was only for 5 years in the bay in front of the old municipal palace.

The penultimate pier recently demolished for major damage, was started in 1958 and completed by 1960, from 80 meters concrete platform by 8.5 meters wide.

In this 2020 we are debuting pier, same that can be used for boat tours, sport fishing and beach transfers las gatas, with an investment of 100 million pesos by the government of Guerrero represented by Héctor Astudillo Flores.

The new pier of Zihuatanejo with a total area of 883 square meters, has a length of 80 meters by 9 meters wide. It is made with a deep foundation of 162 piles, five entrances for boarding, seven pergolized waiting areas, candles, luminaires, benches, planters, tidal shed and paving with stamped concrete.
