This website called Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Directory I started to develop it approximately in 2001 as a regional website of my city with a few articles with information on the attractions of the place and a list of businesses of the area in an interactive directory.

At the time I was a student of IT where I graduated and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2002.

Over the years and with a lot of programming work, technology changes: for some years I worked creating the code of the pages with ASP (Active Server Pages) by Microsoft, but completely changed the website code in PHP, the same as until moment continues to work with recent improvements.

An analysis of the existing businesses in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, recommendations from fellow programmers, webmasters, designers, people from the forums, friends, and visitors, gradually helped to improve the popularity of the site, as well as in search engine position, growing in content and services until 2012.

Between personal situations and changes in work activities that leave the project on hold for a long time offline, in this year 2020 I present again with some changes version 3 of the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo directory:

Important Updates

• I am currently working on updating the general structure of the site, to make the content accessible to different devices such as tablets, cell phones, computers at the same time adapting these changes for the Spanish and English versions of the website.
• I will be updating the proportion of the images, with a larger size and rescuing the images that have been added over time.
• Some site services are also being updated, a little patience is appreciated!
• The security of the site, the payment system and the way in which local companies advertise to show their content in accordance with the contracting terms are being updated.
• In the same way, the news of the site in English and Spanish will be updated with new photographs and notes of the city, beaches, cultural, tourist or social spaces, without missing the events and parties just to mention a few.
